Money Due for Arctic Challenge
Hello All,
I've finally tallied up the costs for the recent Arctic Challenge and they are as follows:
Event Participation $8.00 per person
Cabin $12.25 per person
Dinner $8.00 per person
Total per person is $28.25. Please make checks payable to Troop 55.
I show that Phillip G., Michael and Joseph W. and Emery Y. came up for the day so they owe $8 for the event only.
Everyone else should pay $28.25
And in other news...
The annual Cub Scout Pinewood Derby is Saturday Feb. 11 at the Glen Ridge Congregational Church. As in years past they are asking our troop to lend a hand managing the event. They will welcome as many Scouts as are available. If you decide to attend please let me know...also, you need to go in uniform.
"A lot to Grow" is looking for volunteers to help with planting and general carpentry. They are also hoping we can organize a donation drive to help them with some of their supply needs. I will be addressing this more at upcoming meetings.
We are planning our annual survival trip 2/18 - 2/19. I don't have specifics yet but we will be trying to survive out in the woods overnight with nothing but a single match and our wits. Always a fun time for all.
Re-Charter - Troop 55 renews their BSA charter every February. This year is no exception. The annual dues are $85 payable to Troop 55 ASAP. In addition to dues we are assessing a one time fee of $20 for each Troop member in order to purchase an enclosed trailer. We were recently presented with the opportunity to buy a used trailer from Troop 184 in South Jersey. It's a great opportunity to take our troop to a whole new level and a real bargain at only $600.
That's all for now, see you all this evening.
Jeff
