Paintball
Numerous Scouts have asked me about the possibility of a paintball trip in June. As a fan of paintball I say, "yes". However, it should be understood that this is not a BSA sanctioned event. The BSA frowns on this activity (not sure why). That said, I'm planning to go paint balling Sunday June 27 at the Top Gun Painball Range in Marlboro, NJ (near six flags). This is open to all in the troop as well as friends and family. I'm extending the invitation to Troop 12 in Montclair as well as all Troop 55 alumni. The more the merrier. I need to get some hard numbers on this as soon as possible. I'd like everyone to try to let me know this Monday if they can commit to the trip. If we can pay in advance we will get a discount. Regardless, it looks like the cost for the trip will be somewhere between $70 and $100. This includes everything you'll need. If you have your own equipment it will save you some money. Paint will need to be purchased on site.
