Hello all,

Following is important information for the canoe trip and the parade:

Who:

All Scouts and parents are invited to join us for this weekend’s canoe trip.  Traditionally, this has been a “father/son” trip down the Delaware.

When:

We’ll meet at the Barta cabin Friday night (5/28).  The cabin is located in the Ten Mile River Scout Reservation.  See directions and cabin information below.

Cost:

$55 per person for canoe rental and an additional charge for food and cabin after the trip.  Please bring canoe rental fees with you.

From NYC & Points South:
Travel to and take the upper level of the George Washington Bridge. Take your first exit on your right on the New Jersey side. This will be the Palisades Parkway. Travel north for 35 miles. Bear to your left and take the exit marked Route 6. Travel half-way round the traffic circle and continue on Route 6 for six miles unto Route 17 West. Travel on Route 17 for 44 miles to exit 104 (Monticello Raceway). Travel on 17B for about 6.7 miles into White Lake and blinking light. At 0.7 miles beyond the blinker, make a left hand turn on Route 55 West. Follow Route 55 for about 4 miles to the Ten Mile River Camp cut-off on the right hand side (County Route 26). Follow the TMR signs to the desired camp.

If there are any scouts that want to go on the canoe trip and don't have a dad avaiable for the weekend, please let Jeff know. We have several adults going who would be happy to have a canoeing partner for the weekend.

At one of the last meetings someone took my BS handbook home by mistake and I took one that was left there. I've returned that one to its owner...if you realize that you have my book, please let me know and return it to me...thank you!
