Trip Change for This Weekend
Hello Everyone,
Teterboro has been less than cooperative lately so I've changed the trip this weekend. And, I might add, we're going to have a lot more fun!!
Originally, only the guys who were working on the Aviation merit badge were going to tour the museum at Teterboro airport. Now, the whole troop AND THEIR FAMILIES are invited to join us at the old Rhinebeck Aerodrome this Sunday. I'd like to meet at Linden at 10 AM and leave shortly thereafter. The airshow begins at 2:00 PM and it's about 1.5 hours away. Anyone attending should plan to bring lunch with them and we'll have a picnic up there before the show.
Group admission is as follows:
| Visitors | Weekend AirSHOW & Museum |
| Children (5 and under) | FREE |
| Juniors (6-12) and Scouts (in Uniform) | $2 |
| TEENS AND SENIORS (65 AND OVER) |
$10 |
| Adults | $15 |
Please note the "Scouts in Uniform" section above. This is a significant savings so I would encourage all Scouts to attend in uniform.
If you'd like to learn more about our destination, you can view their web site at:

In addition to the show and museum there is an option to go for a ride in a biplane. If anyone is interested, this can be arranged at the show.
Please reply to Jeff (jeffpitcher@comcast.net) and let me know if you plan to attend and how many will be attending with you.
Sorry about the late notice on this but...that's life I guess!!!
See you this weekend,
Jeff

Jeff,
Will the troop layout the funds and then collect from the scouts or should each of us bring monies along to cover entry, snacks and chachkas?
regards,
Henry

Normally, on a Scout trip the leaders pay for any expenses and then get reimbursed from our treasurer. After the trip we bill each participant for their share. Since this trip's a little different we'll need to collect from everyone the day of the trip so that we can pay as one group at the admission site. Obviously, snacks and chachkas and souvenirs and biplane rides will be considered "extras" that parents will be responsible for...

Hello,
Below is the link to the permission form required for ALL (scouts, family and leaders):
http://www.glenridgescouts.com/scout/PDF/Troop0855%20Permission%20Slip.pdf
Should a parent not be going on the trip, please be sure that your scouts will have this signed form when you drop them off on Sunday.
Please speed up the departure by bringing along your completed form(s).
The form is also available via our website.
Thank you.
Henry
